On life’s journey, challenges are inevitable. We are human and we often make mistakes. We also experience challenging situations along the way. Our response to challenges often determine how successful we become. So let’s take a moment to reflect and ask ourselves some questions:
We have to be resilient and persistent. We have to use the setbacks, disappointments, adversities or failures as learning opportunities that will build character and help us achieve greatness. Sometimes we may need to step back or step aside to create avoidance or to evaluate our present circumstances. Whatever we do, we must move forward.
When we are in a difficult situation, it is easy to become overwhelmed by our emotions. We may become vulnerable and easily influenced.
“A drowning man will clutch to a straw.” It is so easy to lose our focus and take any available opportunity to improve the present situation. We may become angry and start blaming others instead of trying to identify the problem.
Whatever happens, let us remember that God loves us and He is a very present help in our time of need. Isaiah 41:13 reminds us that the Lord is our God. He takes hold of our right hand reassures us, “Do not fear; I will help you.” The Scriptures also tells us to cast all our anxieties on Him because He cares for us. (1 Peter 5:7) The struggle is real but His grace is sufficient for us. God bless you. GF. White
