From Here to There With Gertrude April 24, 2020
I just realized that I have been absent from my website for almost a month. Time is really moving quickly. I hope you all are following the guidelines in trying to keep you and your family safe. So much has happened over the past few weeks. Some of us were in quarantine, some got the cruel Coronavirus and got better, while others didn’t survive the ordeal.
Let me use this opportunity to express my sincere condolences to those who have lost loved-ones during this trying period. My deepest sympathy goes out to those who are still going through the healing process. My prayers are with you.
I encourage those who are still in quarantine to be strong and remain positive. Those who have read my book, “My Valley Experience-Beating the Odds.” would realize that I have encountered grief and pain on my journey but God’s grace and mercy kept me, and I didn’t let go. In my book, I shared how I lost my son in a traffic accident and then I lost two brothers just a few hours apart and had both buried the same time. My first marriage ended in separation and I lost my second husband from cardiac arrest. So I know how it feels to lose a loved-one and not being able to spend the last precious moments together.
Coronavirus is having a devastating effect on us, on education, on our Spirituality on the economy. Some may wonder why God allows this to happen but rest assured that He is still in control. He will lead us through every challenging situation. I trust that you will continue to trust Him to guide and protect us as we continue to fight COVID-19.
While I was away from my website, I spent some time setting up my Youtube channel, “From Here to There with Gertrude”. I am not technologically savvy but I am learning along the way. I invite you to take a look at the message I’m trying to share and subscribe so that you will be notified when I post other videos. Remain safe. God bless you.
